SOUTH HARPSWELL, MAINE                                                 H. D. TRENHOLM, Proprietor

ENTRANCE

The Sea Gables located at South Harpswell, Maine, is on a narrow neck of land extending about seven miles into Casco Bay; one of the most beautiful and attractive Summer Resorts along the Maine Coast, always ready to offer homelike hospitality and simplicity of summer life with the comfort and quietness which has made this place so popular in the past, with those seeking health, rest and recreation.

Close by the water's edge, it combines both country and seashore, overlooking Harpswell Harbor, Casco Bay and the ocean. From the many porches and sun room you have an excellent view of the many islands, woods and beautiful sunsets.

Amusements Boating, bathing and fishing parties. Tuna fishing close by. Motor boats take parties sailing and deep sea fishing daily. Croquet, quoits, radio, swings on the beach.

Brunswick is but fifteen miles distant, with good state roads for automo\biles. Here are the whispering pines that gave the title to Elijah Kellogg's famous stories, Bowdoin College with its historic buildings, and the house to which the poet Longfellow brought his first bride. Other trips that may be taken in one day are to Augusta, the capital, Bath, Poland Springs, Old Orchard and Rockland. A delightful sail to Portland by steamer of two hours among the 365 islands of Casco Bay cannot be surpassed.

Accommodations Everything possible is done for the comfort and pleasure of our guests. The rooms are pleasant and cool, and the beds comfortable. Sanitary plumbing, etc.—flush toilets, hot and cold showers with running water in every room. Private beach with bath houses for salt water bathing; electric lights. Abundant supply of pure well water. Auto and week-end parties accommodated.

Our dining room is always cool and pleasant. We serve fresh vegetables, fruit, eggs, milk and cream; berries in their season. Also a variety of fish, lobsters, clams and crabmeat, strictly fresh from nearby waters; meat and pastry. All food served is of the best quality, and bread and pastry are home cooked.
