East Harpswell Church

East Harpswell Free Will Baptist Church was built in 1843. It is a little-altered modest Greek Revival structure with a reverse interior layout (with the pulpit at the entrance) that is now extremely rare within the state. It is a simple, rectangular wood-frame structure with front facing gable roof with two entrances, clapboard siding and granite foundation. It was given to the Society by the Sebascodegan Garden Club. Its reverse pulpit makes it unusual. It is located on the Cundy’s Harbor Road. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
